Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) is now seeking an outstanding
individual for the post of Demand Planner. The role is based in Abu
Dhabi and reports to the Demand Manager - Pipe, Mrs. Lurdes Polvora in
Abu Dhabi.

Role Purpose:

Execute short term (according to Borouge planning horizon) related
demand planning steps by using the Sales and Operational Planning
process input and applying it to the Business Unit strategies targeting
maximum profit and customer service (by also considering the logistical
cost picture into account).

Contribution:

C1. Area or Responsibility:

Drives the demand control process and respond to any new customer
request for extra demand
Allocate and re-allocate volumes targeting maximization of profit and
customer service
Proactively safeguard the customers agreed product availability by
maintaining frequent contact
with the Supply Team, Customer Service and Sales Organization
Act as trouble shooter in case of supply/demand disruptions for the
short term
Active order follow-up during month 0. Define gap closing.
Advise/follow-up corrective actions
towards BU in co-operation with Demand Manager
Work closely with Replenishment planners with regards to customers
demand via the hubs
Participate ad hoc in demand management projects
Act as back-up for other demand planner(s) when needed
Participate in Key Customer workshops (internally)
Assist in customer claims and participate in defining corrective actions
in order to prevent reoccurrence
Analyze demand forecasting KPI's and propose corrective actions
C2. People:

Take an active role in educating new demand planner(s)
Close cooperation with DM
Develop/maintain/improve all internal relations/interfaces
Be an active team member within the demand planning team.
Work in close relation with the Demand Managers team to ensure Business
Unit strategy
Representation within the Supply Chain organization is being guaranteed
C3. Customer:

Support customer strategies (volume allocation) through demand planning
based on customer prioritization & strategy
Together with DM, represents "the voice of the Business Unit (hence
customer)" within the Supply Chain organization
Collect customers specific information/behavior/needs in order to keep
own knowledge up to date/knowledge sharing with other functions
Understand and promote the Borouge S & OP process
C4. Interfaces:

Interact extensively with sales force and the demand management.
Skills:

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business /Economics /Commercial Environment

Good communication/networking skills
Good computer skills
SAP R3, APO and BW experience

Experience:

4 - 6 years of relevant work experience (commercial/logistics/business
administration)
Familiar with Sales and Operational Planning processes
Knowledge of the order to cash process and concepts, commercial and
logistics offerings and service level guidelines
Knowledge of the relevant Borouge/Borealis Polyolefin product range and
applications
Knowledge of the BU strategies and customer priorities
